VIVA Jusoor celebrates International Day of Older Persons with Dar UCO
In celebration of International Day of Older Persons, VIVA Jusoor invited Dar UCO members for a golf practice session at The Royal Golf Club in Riffa Views. The members enjoyed a traditional Arabic breakfast followed by a mini golf session which included practice balls and equipment, use of the driving range and general information about golf by the PGA professionals.
International Women's Day
VIVA Jusoor invited all female staff to a lunch at Bushido to mark Women’s Day and celebrate their achievements.
Car Seat Campaign
VIVA Jusoor sponsored the general directorate of traffic “Children Car Seat campaign” which was launched during Traffic Week to help spread awareness of its benefits. The seats were donated to people on the road to increase awareness of child protection.
Ramadan Ghabga
VIVA Jusoor hosted a Ramadan Ghabga for the elderly members of Dar UCO Parents Care Centre and the children of The Royal Charity Organization. Traditional activities and games were played, including numerous gifts and prizes for the participants, followed by dinner.
Dar UCO Wheel Chair Donations
In line with our commitment towards supporting our local community, VIVA Jusoor donated two wheelchairs to Dar UCO to mark the International Day of People with Disabilities.
National Day Competition
As part of National Day Celebrations, VIVA Jusoor launched a photo competition on Instagram. The competition had two categories: National Day Costumes and National Day decorations. There were over 300 photo submissions and the selected winners were awarded with the latest iPhone.
Recycling Campaign
In line with our aim to foster environmental consciousness amongst the community, we launched an internal campaign for recycling amongst the staff. A set of specialized containers were placed to encourage the internal recycling process of paper, plastic and cans.
Tree Planting Day
Employee volunteers from VIVA Jusoor assisted in planting native species in an area allocated by the company’s headquarters with the aim of creating a greener and more beautiful surrounding.

Bahrain International Garden Show
VIVA Jusoor provided a business center in the 3 day International Garden Show 2014. The centre offered services such as free Internet WIFI, printing and photocopying.
The Wudu Project
The Wudu basins were distributed to selected elderly homes, special needs’ schools and organizations to ease the wudu and hand/foot washing experience in the restrooms.
World Teachers' Day
A visit was arranged to several schools by volunteers to give a simple token of appreciation to the teachers in celebration of World Teachers' Day.
Bahraini Women's Day
A women’s gathering was arranged for the female VIVA staff to celebrate their achievements.
Car Waste Bags
VIVA Jusoor distributed 3000 disposable car garbage bags to staff and families.
Tree Planting
VIVA Jusoor arranged a tree-planting session in the VIVA-sponsored traditional garden at Al Areen Wildlife Park.

Labor Day
A ‘Call Home’ campaign was conducted on the occasion of labor day in which volunteers gave the chance for the general public to speak to their family abroad in a phone booth that was located in Bab Al Bahrain.
Eid Visits
VIVA Jusoor visited Muharraq Elderly House to distribute Eid gifts to the residents of the center. Employees also visited children at the Salmaniya Hospital pediatric ward to distribute Eidiya in a mission to brighten their day.
Annual National Day Competition
VIVA Bahrain successfully concluded its Bahrain National Day Fereej competition. The competition involved four teams which were assigned to different governorates to create a spectacular artwork commemorating the National Day. Final artworks were evaluated based on their portrayal of national day spirit, relevance to the national day, creativity, innovation, color-use, quality and originality, in addition to teamwork and organization.
Think Pink
VIVA Jusoor organized a breast cancer awareness session for VIVA employees to raise awareness about this cause. Founder of Think Pink, Julie Sprakel, spoke about the importance of early detection, education and self-examination. In addition, pink ribbons were distributed to the staff.
Mobile Recycling Campaign
Old mobile phones were collected from VIVA staff and customers to be recycled.

VIVA Color Me Bahrain Run
VIVA Color Me Bahrain Run, organized by Bahrain Road Runners, took place at Amwaj Marina and attracted over 1,200 runners, adults and kids, including VIVA staff, who ran the fun and colorful 5-kilometer run.The VIVA Color Me Bahrain Run, also known as the Happiest 5k on the Planet, is a unique paint race that celebrates health, happiness and individuality.
VIVA Jusoor Donates Medical Equipment
VIVA Jusoor has extended a helping hand to the Abdulla Khalil Kanoo Pediatrics Oncology ward at Salmaniya Medical Complex by donating home care ventilation equipment to treat children in the comfort of their homes. The donation stems from VIVA’s heartfelt commitment to support the wider community and make a positive difference in the lives of individuals.
Muharraq Social Welfare Center Emergency Room
VIVA Jusoor continues to extend its support to the community by sponsoring the medical emergency unit in the Muharraq Social Welfare Centre (MSWC). The center currently accommodates 62 senior residents and provides free social, health, psychological, living and recreational care services. The newly constructed emergency unit has medical equipment including oxygen cylinders, vital signs monitor, medicine trolley and a specialized refrigerator for storage of medication. It offers free emergency services to all elderly residents of the centre. VIVA also contributed medical supplies, homing equipment and enhancement of the center's recreational facilities.

Bahrain International Garden Show 2017
VIVA Jusoor has extended its support to the Bahrain International Garden Show 2017 (BIGS) for the fourth year by installing a dedicated high-tech Business Center. Exhibitors and participants could access the business center with world-class technologies and enjoyed seamless connectivity on Bahrain’s fastest and widest 4G LTE network.

Bahrain Psychiatric Hospital
In March 2019 VIVA finished renovating Bahrain Psychiatric Hospital, the main center for psychiatric care in the country, because there’s no reason a hospital should be any less bright and cosy than a home. We focused on the garden area, which was designed by Art Reach, a non-profit group of artists and designers who volunteered their time and skills to work with students and community members. Together they added plants and mosaics to brighten up the space and create a more cheerful environment for patients and visitors. The VIVA team also installed a playground area to encourage outdoor play and physical activity among children.

stc Jusoor has an ongoing partnership with the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club. Through this partnership, an annual race including the stc Cup and Bahrain Gold Cup are organized to attract hundreds of racing enthusiasts from across the region. This sponsorship is in line with stc Jusoor’s commitment to support different initiatives that highlight the Kingdom’s rich heritage. The sport of horse racing is very important as it symbolizes a part of Bahrain’s identity, history and traditions. stc Jusoor aims to continue contributing to the deep-rooted equestrian tradition that became a primary part of the region’s history and increase the popularity of the sport among the population to carry its long-standing legacy.
Fulfilling a child's dream provides an unforgettable experience and brings extraordinary happiness and sheer joy. We see that every day in the way Dreams Society achieves this. stc Jusoor, has partnered with Dreams Society, the charitable organization that works towards making the dreams of children affected with terminally ill and debilitating diseases come true. stc’s contribution towards Dreams Society’s annual charity event has been utilized towards making dreams come true for seriously ill children aged 3 – 18. With the raised funds, Dreams Society has been working towards fulfilling the many dreams of terminally ill children – by visiting the LEGO factory in Denmark, having a games’ room makeover, pursuing the passion of art and music in Italy, visiting the beaches of Thailand or getting the latest iPad. All of these varied wishes are significant to every one of these children.Moreover, a significant portion of the funds has contributed towards hosting activities for more than 500 children per year, including the organization of parties, events and day-out activities for the young ones.
In August 2019 we teamed up with Bahrain Tennis Federation to build a happier and healthier community. As the BTF’s Gold Sponsor, we helped nurture the talent of over 500 players at Bahrain Polytechnic University, whose courts and facilities serve as the training ground for the national team’s current and upcoming players. We also sponsored regional championship tournaments for all groups aged 7 and up.
stc is the proud strategic partner of Conserving Bounties Society, a not-for-profit entity which specializes in collecting, and packing surplus food from hotels, restaurants and various private occasions. The society then redistributes the food to beneficiary families, labors and other individuals within the Kingdom of Bahrain. Their work is conducted according to international health and safety standards. This initiative has helped in reducing the amount of food wastage significantly and eventually reduced the amount of food waste directed to the municipal landfill on a daily basis.The society has garnered support from logistics and financial supporters which include stc Bahrain, Yousif and Aysha Almoayyed Charity, Al Zayani Investments and Bahrain Credit. The initiative is run in a dedicated office space with IT facilities and a storage area with a fully-equipped station that is located in stc’s corporate headquarters.
VIVA Bahrain, the official partner of Manchester United, ran its successful Manchester United Soccer Schools program (MUSS) for six consecutive years. Boys and girls aged 13-15 with a passion for football were welcomed to register for try-outs for the annual program. At a given time, a total of 22 exceptional shortlisted talents were granted a week of professional football training in Manchester, UK. Since its inception, the program has grown to benefit 140 local youngsters from various backgrounds.
