What is Auto Advanced Credit?

Auto Advanced Credit is a subscription model, this means that you will need to give your consent to receive credit automatically. Once consent is given, you will receive a credit each time your balance is lower than 200  fils.

 

How can I enable it?

You will receive an SMS asking if you would like to opt in which means you are eligible to use the service, for example: ‘Reply with AUTO to receive advanced credit automatically in the future’

If you answer with AUTO you will be opt in.

 

What happens when I reply with ‘AUTO’?

You will receive an SMS confirming that you have subscribed, for example:

‘You have successfully subscribed to advanced credit. BD XX will be added to your account automatically when you reach low balance. To cancel at any time, send UNSUBS to 81200’.

From this point onwards, your account will be credited automatically, with amount stated in the original confirmation SMS, whenever your balance is lower than 200 fils

 

How do I know if I have received the credit?

An SMS will be sent to you as soon as you have been credited

 

How can I opt out of Auto Advanced credit?

By sending ‘UNSUB’ to 81200

 

How long will I get the Auto Advanced Credit added automatically?

3 months, afterwards you will need to re-subscribe, by sending auto sub TO 81200

 

Will I receive Auto Advanced credit if I have an active Loan?

No. You can only receive credit automatically if all active loans are closed.

 

How to use Advance Credit service?

Advance Credit service is available through different channels whereby you can operate and experience the service:

• 81200 IVR: By dialing 81200

• USSD: By dialing *81200#

• stc App: By login to your stc App account.

• stc self-care portal: By login into https://scp.stc.com.bh/selfcare (can be on click link to “stc self care portal” )

You will be notified via SMS when your balance reaches 0.200 BD or less. You will also be notified via SMS when you are trying to purchase an add-on and you don’t have enough balance. The service is available for prepaid subscribers only. Your line should be in active or grace state.
Minimum amount is BD 0.500 and maximum amount is BD 6. The amount you will be offered depends on your previous usage history. You should fully pay your outstanding advance credit amount to be able to get another offer from the service.  
You can send “5” to 81200 You can also dial *124# or *81200# and select the option to stop receiving offers from the service. You can always use SMS and USSD channels to request advance credit even if you requested not to receive offers from the service.
When you recharge your line, the outstanding advance credit amount (including service fee) will be deducted automatically. If you don’t have enough balance to pay the outstanding amount, partial collection will take place. You can check your outstanding amount by sending “3” to 81200.
Advanced credit will be added whenever you need it for three months. Afterwards if you are eligible for a new amount you will need to re-subscribe, otherwise same amount will continue to be added for another 3 months.
